The Challenge
As a family-friendly music venue in the Green Bay area, Cup O Joy sought to improve the patron experience by integrating an easy-to-use sound system in its new 550-seat performance venue. As a recently renovated room in Cup O Joy’s newest building, there was no permanent sound system in the room. This limited the artists who would perform to those that carried their own audio production equipment. To preserve an intimate setting while deploying an adaptable sound system, Cup O Joy sought a solution provider that could tailor the AV system to accommodate different artists in their unique space.
The ideal solution would:
- Provide a high-fidelity audio experience for patrons
- Provide infrastructure flexibility to accommodate artists’ varying technical needs
- Reduce event setup times
- Support events ranging from lectures to nationally touring musical artists
With these targets in mind, Camera Corner Connecting Point (CCCP), a division of ACP CreativIT, worked alongside Cup O Joy’s team to design a sound system that connected seamlessly with their existing visual technologies while delivering a flexible AV infrastructure to support the wide range of events in the space.

The Solution
CCCP worked with several technology manufacturers to provide a best-in-class, end-to-end audio system. Factoring in the component shortages and extended product lead times affecting the industry, CCCP selected the Martin Audio brand since it not only provided crisp sound quality for their space but also had the fastest turnaround time. CCCP arranged for Cup O Joy to tour a deployed Martin Audio Wavefront Precision line array solution before selecting the system for their venue. The audio system was configured to operate in two modes – a Performance mode for concerts and events with a live sound engineer, and a Presentation mode to provide simple control of the video system and a few microphones via a touch panel interface.
These were also included in the solution:
- Multi-channel amplifiers
- PA systems
- Remote system management
Within five months, CCCP designed, configured, and installed a high-performance audio system and a presentation video system with a laser projector and a 16-foot screen. CCCP also designed, configured, and installed remotely operated cameras that tie into the existing video system, and an AV-centric network infrastructure focused on supporting the needs of local events and touring artists in the 550-seat venue. During installation, CCCP’s technicians prioritized fast response times and open communication to prevent costly delays and unnecessary stress. They made the system operational in time for Cup O Joy’s big annual benefit concert at the beginning of December 2022.
